MANY CLAIM THAT THE TEAM CONCEPT IS IRRECONCILABLE WITH THE MANAGEMENT GROUP. THE MANAGEMENT GROUP AS AN INSTITUTION CONSTITUTES THE TEAM’S COUNTERWEIGHT: EACH OF THE MANAGERS REPRESENTS THEIR RESPECTIVE DOMAINS AND THEY ALL CHAMPION THEIR OWN AGENDAS. THE EXECUTIVE MANAGER IS TRAPPED LIKE A JUGGLER IN THE MIDDLE.

The management team is a myth created by consultants searching for new markets. But there are cases in which an executive management group can and must function like a team. Circumstances that require something more, where the community achieves results surpassing that of the individual manager. In such cases the organization is shaped and signals sent that resonate far into the future.

The seminar is based on recent theory on management teams, connecting this to one of the oldest legends in the Western world: the story of the Argonauts and the search for the Golden Fleece. When rough and ready individualists join forces to travel to the ends of the earth and retrieve a golden fleece, extreme team performances can arise.
