The Norwegian Ibsen Company was established to open the doors to Ibsen’s universe – and make it alive, relevant and accessible to new generations, both on stage and in a leadership role.
What happens when we find ourselves in the tension between loyalty and truth, power and responsibility, self-image and societal expectations?
Henrik Ibsen’s plays are as relevant today as when they were written. Why is that? Because they touch the core of us as humans.
Through theater-based methods, we use Ibsen’s characters, conflicts, and moral dilemmas as mirrors to explore the human: communication, role understanding, ethics, and interpersonal relationships.
We create arenas for reflection, development and transformation – where art, literature and leadership meet in a living dialogue.

Helene Knoop is a Norwegian visual artist who works within a figurative idiom with clear references to Italian Renaissance and Baroque art. Her paintings are characterized by compositions where Nordic light meets classical expressions, and she is particularly known for her self-portraits that convey strong individuality and personal interpretation of Renaissance ideals.
Knoop works with live models and is concerned with the human body, identity and presence – themes that are also reflected in her landscape paintings, painted outdoors.
In our leadership trainings, Helene Knoop contributes with reflections on self-image, identity and how we present ourselves – visually and socially. Through artistic processes and conversations about gaze, expression and body language, participants gain new insights into their own role as leaders and how presence and aesthetic awareness can strengthen communication and relationships.
In addition, she contributes as a painter!
