Mission Impossible with Hannibal through the Alps – The Alps

AT LAST THE CARTHAGIANS FOUND THE OPPORTUNITY TO STRIKE BACK AGAINST THE INPENETRABLE ROMAN EMPIRE. IN 218 BC HANNIBAL SOUGHT OUT NEW MARKET SHARES WHEN HE RISKED EVERYTHING TO CROSS THE ALPS WITH 100,000 TROOPS AND HIS AFRICAN ELEPHANTS. HANNIBAL’S ACHIEVEMENTS ARE COMPARABLE TO THOSE OF ALEXANDER THE GREAT, JULIUS CAESAR AND NAPOLEON.

The seminar focuses on performance enhancement through effective and strong management teams. We follow the legendary General Hannibal through lectures, group work, and physical movement – in historical footsteps. Hannibal’s achievements are combined with contemporary research on leadership, management teams, and performance orientation. Two management perspectives will be highlighted: Teamwork through pragmatic leadership and the individual’s team competence. We explore in depth themes such as Courage and Cowardice, Discipline, Perseverance, Trust and Setting boundaries, Practical creativity and the will of a winner – in spectacular surroundings.

Here you will receive an inspiring theoretical refill offering greater insight on own leadership. Several of our participants recommend the trip because it provides both mental and physical challenges in a magnificent classroom – challenges that inspire development of own leadership.

This seminar is ideal for management teams wanting to go the extra mile or for organizations emphasizing an extensive use of team organization. We tailor the seminar so it is designed to address the needs of precisely your group and your organization.

The management seminar starts with a bus trip from Marseille to the French Alps. We follow the route Hannibal is believed to have taken. Through excursions, challenge solving, lectures, group work, good conversation and hiking on the Via Ferrata – we make our way to the Italian side of the Alps, just like the legendary Hannibal – who with his elephants and entourage performed feats about which songs are still sung.

In collaboration with them we have with great success explored in depth themes related to how the leader creates the surplus in own life to enable him or her to see others. Leaders with resources and energy to spare are necessary to create everyday magic and we can hereby offer children even greater opportunities!
